A thesis is proof of all the
knowledge that a student has obtained during their university career.
Furthermore, the thesis is a great tool for better training opportunities
(scholarships for studies) or work for the knowledge and skills presented in
the thesis.
Most students are relieved to
finish the university because they believe that the most difficult and
stressful moments have finally come to an end. But in reality, the end of the
university stage is just beginning stage professional and get the degree or
professional qualification must develop a thesis. However, for many college
graduates to prepare a thesis they are impossible and, therefore, are prevented
from exercising the profession as graduates who studied for many years.
But why they find it so
difficult? Many students do not take their academic life serious, why not feel
prepared to develop a thesis; but mostly because they do not understand the
importance of a thesis, besides being a condition for obtaining the
professional title. That is, they forget that a thesis may be the beginning of
a successful professional career, for those who bring new knowledge to science
or research, can get scholarships, internships or job offers, perhaps without
the Ph.D. thesis had not succeeded. To develop a thesis is necessary to design a research methodology, which most times is not well taught in the various faculties, as the universities themselves forget that only a good training in research methodology will ensure that the graduate is able to develop a thesis with rigor and professionalism, which ultimately could become his first book.
Thesis topic choice
The thesis writing involves following a series of steps, the most important to choose the topic to investigate. To choose a good topic is first necessary to define the most interesting courses and college career in which we excel. This will help us choose a topic that causes us know and motivation.
Research problem for the thesis
The second step in the preparation of a thesis is to formulate the research problem. That is, after choosing the theme that we want to investigate is necessary to limit research to a specific topic. To do this, we must ask questions on the subject, which will lead us to define the research problem and determine if it has a solution or not. In this part, the researcher will answer the questions of why and what it is investigating.
Outline of the thesis
The third step is to make an outline of thesis, ie develop a logical scheme of issues that are believed to be included in the thesis. In the scheme chosen topics should be presented in chapters, detailing the content to be submitted by each chapter, all this will dissertation help define the importance of research.
Research Methodology Thesis
The fourth step is to design the research methodology, ie determine how it will get the information, statistics, what measuring tools are to be used in the research process.
Find sources for the thesis
The fifth step is to identify the sources of information that will be useful to develop the research topic. Sources of information means all the theoretical information that will serve to give consistency to the research and all technical and statistical information that will help show what we seek with the investigation.
Schedule for the thesis
The last step is to set a timetable for preparation of the thesis, ie set the start and end dates of the research work and dates to make each chapter.
