Most of the students complain about
academic life being tough and demanding. Moreover, they also state the fact
that they don’t get the time to do decent assignment writing due to time
constraints as well as other constraints involved. It is true that time
constraints are real, as many students work part time to support themselves and
the ability to balance academics with life’s commitments often drains down human
beings easily. However, in order to prevent such Good reading and observing
skills should be good as they are critical to a good assignment/course
work/report/dissertation produced else the student has a very high probability
of dropping scores in that particular course.
Though the United Kingdom has a very good
education system with foundation year programs at key schooling levels in order
to identify and remedy any issues pertaining to reading, writing,
comprehension, understanding and analytical skills which have yielded good
results. But the children of immigrant background i.e. those coming from
Eastern and Southern Europe as well as other nations worldwide have not gone
through the British themed foundation year program as they underwent foundation
year programs in their respective nations. They have very good reasoning,
analytical and calculation skills but there are things they lack the fluency
skills of British English and that they are not accustomed to the British
vocabulary which subsequently puts errors when they are writing assignments.
A good reader isn’t necessarily a nerd but
rather a person with good observation skills as they are able to comprehend all
instructions easily i.e. good reading skills makes assignment writing easy for
them. Moreover, good readers also become good trainers and effective guides as
it was once said “Readers are Leaders”. It doesn’t mean that a human has to be
a bookworm; it means that whatever is written should be read with ease and
calmness, and that the person must be able to understand whatever is written. It’s
really important to read diligently in order to comprehend the instructions
carefully, be able to cascade clear information to others and improvise on
assignment writing as well. It is also needed for a good assignment as well so
as to ensure that the student is able to make a good assignment that does not
lose scores at any level and on any point. Apart from instructions, a good
reader is able to put in additional but relevant material in the assignment
which subsequently makes the assignment even better. What’s even better is that
a good reader is able to pinpoint the necessary information to be added in the work
to make it look, sound and score even better.
Reading is part of observation and
understanding is another component of it, then comes comprehending it and to
what extent has the person been able to comprehend what has been written about
the incumbent task or work at hand. The
need for a good assignment involves good observation of recommended points, key
points, key information as well as good research at hand to ensure the
assignment does not fall off guard.
